Vouchers in Utah
With the elections next week, the issue of vouchers in Utah has heated up. Several debates are scheduled for this week. Very talented individuals have taken stands on each side of the issue, making one wonder, which side is correct. Maybe they both are to some extent. That means to me that the issue ought to voted against until a better bill is drafted. One issue that I think the majority would favor is the support of vouchers for those children who suffer from autism. Specialized schooling for these children is expensive, and I don't believe that current insurance programs cover the expenses. Vote no for Referendum 1 next week, and vote yes when it is redone to address specialized needs, such as autism.
